We saw they were putting out rad shit and wanted to be a part of it. There aren’t many righteous record companies these days so we had to really dig to find somebody legit sharing the same idea of how to put out music. They have been treating us great. Easyrider fucking rules.
――How was recording? Was it hard or easy?
Recording is always hard. But it was easy.
――Satan’s Country is released on vinyl and digital. what’s your preferences for listening to music? Cassette, CD, Digital Download or Vinyl? And why?
We have always all been into vinyl. It gives you more of an appreciation for what your buying..
――I watched Satan’s Country’s video on Youtube. That was so great, It reminds me 70s horror films. Does literature or film influence your music?
Yeah, we’ve all always been into horror and cult movies and books. We were having a slumber party one night watching some spooky movies when we realized we wanted to make our own soundtrack to them.
――Could you tell us about the song called “Yrtnuoc S’natas”? What does it means?
Its just the song backwards.
――What can you say about the cover artwork?
Do you like it?
――I describe Black Prism’s sound as 70s style doom rock. And recently there is many 70s style doom rock band like Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Orchid, Kadavar...etc. What do you think about them?
They’re some of the most hellacious dudes up in the game right now.
――What bands inspired you while growing up, and what bands inspire you now?
I think too many to list from each of us. A lot of music from 60’s and 70’s, when music was mostly honest.
――Do you do a lot of touring? Do you enjoy touring?
――Do you have any funny or interesting stories from live performances or tours that you’d like to share with our readers?
We got stranded on a deserted road up in Spreckles and the Laker’s girls tour bus happened to come cruising through. They picked us up and we had a killer party. Those girls are always a good time.
――If you could play a show with any band, who would that band be?
Thats like asking if you could go back in time... You cant...yet.
――How would you describe the local music scene there?
Is there any local scene in your town and if so please name a few artists you like.
The Shrine is out here and they’re super cool. Lecherous Gaze and Char-Man are good friends of ours they’re really sick, probably two of the coolest bands making music right now. Hot Lunch, Saviours, and Blasting Concept are super rad. That’s pretty much it, kinda.
――In 5 words or less, Could you describe the motivation for keep making music?
Chicks, Broads, Bettys.
――Do you know any Japanese band?
Flower Traveling Band is a big influence. Shinki Chen is excellent. Super talented dude. Any of his projects were super sick. Guitarwolf...Gism... Japan has always had a huge place in rock n roll... We’re all for it!
――Where’s the best place for our readers to keep up with the latest news like upcoming shows and album releases at?
